The youngest made the most of the celebrations surrounding graduation, especially the formal dinner and dance for graduating class of Katedralskolan. She has a great group of friends and is one of those kids who has many different friend groups so she really made the most of the event! Luckily the rain held off for the reception and a few sprinkles didn’t dampen spirits. She had the best time ever and was able to connect with all of her friends over the course of the evening.

After the reception the students went inside The Students’ House for dinner, dancing etc. The Graduates’ Ball is organized by the student committee and partners with a restaurant to organize catering the event. The dinner is served over several hours with speeches and live music. After dinner graduates move to the ballroom for formal dancing and waltz with a live orchestra. Coffee and tea were offered during breaks in the dancing. At 12:00 AM sharp the club opened with a professional DJ and strobe lights so graduates can party until closing time at 3:00, at which point (if the heels survived that long) the night is over!

As parents we felt good that the event is responsibly managed and we didn’t have to stay up until 3 am. Some friends who live outside of Lund crashed at our place and everyone was in good shape by brunch time the following morning! Our graduate had loads of fun and the event was an excellent addition to the chaos of ending the year.
